About AHEADD

The goal of the Aging and Health Equity in Autism and Developmental Disabilities (AHEADD) Team is to characterize disparities in and improve health and wellbeing in partnership with autistic adults and adults with other developmental disabilities to develop intervention strategies that will help them live long, healthy, and self-determined lives in their communities. The research conducted by the AHEADD Team uses a combination of prospective data and large, administrative data to test mechanisms underlying disparities in autistic adults and adults with other developmental disabilities. Future work in the lab will focus on the development of intervention at the patient, provider, and systems level that will reduce disparities.
